“Another Land” is a documentary about the removal of favelas in Rio de Janeiro. The film follows the life history of some members of a Samba School in Maré, one of the biggest favelas in the city, who came from several removed favelas in the 60´s. At that time, as today, the transferring of the poorest population from the most expensive neighborhoods to periphery areas was proposed as the solution for the problems of the city.
